It was a pleasure photographing Harriet and Toby's wedding yesterday. They picked a fantastic venue to get married at, The Mill Barns in Shropshire. This was the fourth time I've had the chance to visit Mill Barns as a wedding photographer and I loved every moment. Photographing there was very special and I can't wait to have the opportunity to come back one day for another amazing wedding.

After chatting with the newly weds a few times before the wedding I really couldn’t wait to get started. Harriet, makeup artist and expert to the stars and Toby, Middlesex and England international cricketer. I knew the wedding was going to be a total blast!

One of my favourite moments of the day was when I was photographing Harriet getting ready at the The Mill Barns with her bridesmaids on the morning of the big day. The details, the atmosphere, the smiles; bridal prep is full of little moments which I love to capture. While I was spending the morning with Harriet and her girls. Steve, my second photographer for the day was capturing Toby and the groomsmen getting ready on the far side of the Barns.

Once all the prep had finished Harriet arrived at the ceremony barn in her stunning wedding dress with the girls by her side. With a deep breath Harriet made her way towards Toby with Dad on arm to meet him at the alter. Friends and family looked on as Harriet and Toby exchanged wedding rings and their vows in a fantastic wedding ceremony at Mill Barns. I will always relish the opportunity to cover a rustic weddings like this in Shropshire and feel very honoured the happy couple chose me to be there and capture their wedding day celebrations.

And then there was sun… No, dark…

As with this time of year, light is a commodity which is in high demand during the wedding day celebrations so, once the ceremony was over and Harriet and Toby were officially Mr and Mrs Roland Jones!!! They both shared a few moments with their guests before heading up the main staircase of Mill Barns for some relaxed group shots with their closest friends and family. Afterwards we walked around the ground of this wonderful exclusive wedding venue for some out of this world portraits of the newly weds. We captured some amazing moments for the happy couple in a very short space of time making sure we included some beautiful moments between the two of them. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

After these few wonderful moments we headed back to the wedding reception where all of the newly weds family and friends were enjoying the last of the canapés . All the guests were cheerful and you could feel the joyful atmosphere at the reception when Harriet and Toby arrived into the main hall. I enjoyed drifting amongst the guests to take the best shots and witness the stories unfold as the hours went by.

This was a fantastic winter wedding. The newly weds and their guests enjoyed a delicious wedding breakfast as laughter filled the wedding barn in perpetration of the speeches. These moments are a great part of the wedding and a joy to photograph as a wedding photographer. Harriets Papa, the main man himself Toby and Best Man did an amazing job delivering what was a wonderful set of speeches.

The party to end all wedding parties was the order of the evening with a live band and DJ set keeping all the guests dancing into the early hours.

Harriet and Toby’s wedding was one of the loveliest weddings I have photographed this year and I'm sure they will be really happy together for many many years to come. Thank you again for allowing me to be such a big part of your wedding day and I wish you every congratulations possible.
