It was a pleasure photographing Jodie and Yolanda’s wedding yesterday with all their family and friends in attendance. The venue they chose for their wedding was the stunning Formby Hall in Sefton, Merseyside. Formby Hall is a place you always get excited to visit as a wedding photographer, no matter the number of times I have been there to capture a beautiful wedding. The happy couple could not have picked a better venue for their wedding day and with the wonderful British weather playing nice with us during most of their wedding day, we were able to enjoy the sunshine before Jodie, Yolanda and I went off to create some dreamy and relaxed couples portraits.

Jodie and Yolanda began their wedding day celebrations getting her hair and make up done with their bridesmaids and bridesboys at Formby Hall, those first few hours were the perfect way to start their story. When I arrived the air was filled with excitement and as soon as the ceremony began to draw closer the excitement starting to build. Both of our brides dressing in stunning wedding dresses by Natalie Ann Brides.

Family and friends present at Formby Hall witnessed Jodie and Yolanda exchange vows in an emotional and personal ceremony. Jodie and Yolanda had planned to have a beautiful indoor ceremony for their wedding within the spectacular and stunning ceremony room at Formby Hall. Our brides couldn’t have asked for anything more during their special day. As a wedding photographer in Merseyside I always have a fantastic time photographing weddings around this beautiful part of the country.

After the ceremony all of the newly weds wedding party enjoyed a relaxing time at Formby Hall. There was a joyful vibe during the reception and all the moments I photographed were worth a thousand words, it was truly a special day.

It is always a delight to photograph early Autumn weddings here in Merseyside. We were so happy that the rain stayed away during most of the wedding and it was really nice to see everyone embrace the day and enjoy the celebrations. It also made taking the happy couples photographs a joy on the day.

All the guests were keen not to miss the speeches. Every speech is unique and I love to capture them. With the speakers taking to the microphone it gave a really different feel to the wedding speeches. The day ended with Jodie, Yolanda and their guests rocking the dance floor to their amazing DJ Dave and greek dancers and enjoying some evening refreshments.

All in all I had a blast at Jodie and Yolanda’s wedding. Thank you to all the staff at Formby Hall for making the happy couples, their friends, family and me feel so welcome. I can’t wait to return soon.
