Wedding Celebrations at The Swan Hotel in Windermere

It was a pleasure photographing Sarah and Tom’s perfect wedding yesterday. The happy couple decided to hold their wedding day celebrations at the stunning Swan Hotel in The Lake District with many of the closest friends and family. It’s always great and a huge honour to be involved in capturing such a spectacular wedding in The Lake District, I am already very excited to start editing their images and relive how much fun yesterday was.

After Sarah had enjoyed some relaxing prep time at the family home with her family and bridesmaids, a short drive to The Swan Hotel followed. Tom began the long wait at the alter with his boys while they all anticipated the arrival of Sarah and her bridesmaids. 

Once the bridal party had arrived at her ceremony, Sarah took a deep breath as she made her way towards the alter with her Dad to meet her soon to be husband Tom. Friends and family looked on as Sarah and Tom exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony at The Swan Hotel. I will always relish the opportunity to cover ceremonies like this in The Lake District and further afield all around this beautiful country.

The Lake District Wedding Photographer

One of my favourite moments of the day was when I was photographing Sarah and Tom’s first few moments after their ceremony with all their guests in attendance. The details, the atmosphere, the smiles; a wedding reception is abundant in moments which I love to be able to capture.

After a few moments relaxing with guests and a short few minutes alone for some couples portraits, the newly weds and their guests enjoyed a delicious wedding breakfast delivered by the amazing staff at The Swan Hotel. At this point the speakers, Sarah and her dad, the groom Tom and best men all prepared to deliver their speeches in the most confident way possible. The speeches are a great part of the wedding and a joy to photograph as a wedding photographer. At the end of the day Sarah and Tom enjoyed a beautiful first dance accompanied by their guests.

Sarah and Tom’s wedding was such a lovely wedding I feel honoured to have photographed it for them. Thank you to Victoria and her amazing team of staff from The Swan Hotel, you made me feel very welcome to your stunning wedding venue and helped massively in allowing me to create some of the images below. I am already very excited for my next wedding here. Thank you!
