Gorgeous sunny wedding for Steph and Matt and The Out Barn in Clitheroe

Beautiful wedding day spent with family and friends for Steph and Matt at the exclusive wedding venue, The Out Barn in Clitheroe

The Out Barn, Clough Bottom - Bashall Eaves

“The Out Barn is unique in both its creation as well as its delivery. We are a flexible venue, family owned and run, sitting in 360 acres of stunning privately owned estate illustrating our true exclusivity. The Out Barn exudes architectural delights with its 17th Century heritage and traditional stone built hay barn. It has now been lovingly restored and developed to incorporate an elliptical shaped function room, rustic and contemporary in design.

Our family has a passion for sustainability and thoroughly believes in countryside conservation. This is reflected in everything we do, from planting wildflowers, promoting bee numbers and pollination, to heating the barn and whole site using a sustainable bio-mass boiler.

Oak was used off the land to create the rustic oak beams within the barn, tying the old and new parts together and adding to the heritage and character. Our white bark trees and signature meadows can be admired through our large folding doors that extend open to provide a seamless transition to nature and the farmland.”

The Out Barn, Exclusive Wedding Venue in Clitheroe, Lancashire

I absolutely loved capturing Steph and Matt's wedding day yesterday. The couple celebrated at The Out Barn in Clitheroe, Lancashire. I was ecstatic to photograph my first wedding at The Out Barn, it is a superb and unique venue for any rustic, quirky or relaxed wedding and with the unbelievably beautiful grounds attached it makes the perfect location to celebrate your day. I’m already looking forward to more wedding photography there in the future!

Steph was delighted that finally, she could walk down the aisle to marry her soul mate Matt. The wedding ceremony celebrated at The Out Barn was marvellous, the photographs I took there definitely have a "love is in the air" vibe to them. It is truly an amazing job working as a wedding photographer in Lancashire.

Steph and Matt interacted freely with their guests once they had left their ceremony and enjoyed some time outside in the courtyard of The Out Barn. The surroundings were wonderful and fun for all. I was still on the lookout to catch timeless candid moments on camera and with a basket full of welcome drinks and endless nibbles greeting their guests as they enjoyed the sunshine at The Out Barn, this gave me a little more time to snap those moments for the newly weds.

One of my favourite moments of the day was when I was capturing Steph and Matt in the grounds of The Out Barn during their wedding day portraits. I tend to keep my couples portraits as natural and relaxed as possible but with the breathtaking grounds and stunning colours I had to keep them for a few more minutes than normal! I think it was a great decision as the images we captured really are amazing memories that the happy couple can cherish forever.

There are some real advantages to getting married in late summer. We had glorious sunshine for the day which really helped with photography but also the rain stayed off which was a blessing for the bride and groom. Having a later sunset helped also as we were able to go back out later on in the day with Steph and Matt for some additional portraits.

All the guests were keen not to miss the beautiful food provided by the staff at The Out Barn. The amazing atmosphere that The Out Barn provided was a perfect setting for the wedding breakfast, the whole process was more of an experience for everyone involved than just a traditional wedding breakfast.

The night ended with guests crowding round the dance floor to watch Steph and Matt enjoying their first dance together. Fresh food cooked to perfection was the perfect late night snack to keep their guest fuelled up for the party ahead. Steph and Matt's wedding was such a lovely wedding, I’m honoured they chose me to capture it and I wish them a heartfelt congratulations.

Lastly a huge thank you to Emma and the team at The Out Barn. You made myself, the stunning bride and groom along with all their guests feel very welcome which allowed the day to run smoothly and provide such a rememberable experience for everyone. Thank you!

Enjoy!

Adam Joe.
