The most perfect fairytale wedding for Caitlan and Thomas at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire

Caitlan and Thomas celebrated what can only be described as their unbelievable wedding yesterday! The couple celebrated at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire. Peckforton Castle is such a charming place and it is refreshing to finally get the chance to capture a wedding here, I am now already excited for the next opportunity later on in the year, it is a fantastic wedding venue and backed up by the most helpful and charming staff, it really is a venue perfect for any event or wedding.

I started the day photographing Caitlan and her girls in the bridal suite of Peckforton Castle, close to where the bride and groom would tie the knot a few hours later. Once Thomas and the boys arrived to Peckforton, I quickly nipped down stairs to capture their arrival and preparations too. Bridal Prep always gives me an opportunity to get to know the bridal party a little bit more and gives lots of opportunity for storytelling, especially as Caitlan was having her hair and makeup finished and her bridesmaids were making sure her every need was catered for.

Once Caitlan and her girls were ready and made the trip downstairs to the Great Hall of Peckforton, Caitlin and Thomas cemented their union in a beautiful ceremony witnessed by all their closest friends and family. It's so much fun photographing weddings in Cheshire and the surrounding areas, I truly enjoy every wedding I work on. 

After the ceremony the guests enjoyed a fantastic wedding reception, taking in the stunning long gallery and drawing room while being served welcome drinks and nibbles. It was a lovely atmosphere and everyone really enjoyed themselves. I started photographing the story unfolding as the guests relaxed and mingled. 

The Perfect Cheshire Wedding Venue, Peckforton Castle

This was a fantastic summer wedding and we made sure we got some lovely and relaxed portraits at the venue. The start of the day didn’t look too good with rain hampering proceedings, but what a beautiful sunny day it turned into! This made Caitlan, Thomas and their family really happy, and allowed all their guests to enjoy the spectacular grounds as well as the breathtaking interior of the castle. 

After a couple of hours catching up with guests and snapping away the all important group shots, friends and family took their seats in the drawing room and the speakers were invited to begin. Some of the best reactions are photographed whilst the speeches are being delivered and I’m always on the look out for them.

Once the speeches had finished and the wedding party had enjoyed their marvellous meal delivered by Peckforton Castle wedding staff, the bride and grooms guests were invited back into the Great Hall where the newly weds celebrated to start of the evening with the cutting of their cake and throwing of the bouquet. A stunning first dance by the bride and groom followed as the perfect wedding party proceeded the evening.

As well as having a thoroughly fantastic day, it was just a total joy to photograph Caitlan and Thomas' wedding. I just know they will build a fantastic life together and have what was a perfect wedding to look back on for years to come.
