Recently Owen House Wedding Barn in Mobberley, Cheshire, a one of a kind rural and bespoke wedding venue opened their doors to present and future couples. I was lucky enough to be invited along to capture some images in their onsite Shooting Gallery. A beautiful and exclusive area for newly wed couples to sneak off to and enjoy on their wedding day.

Being given the opportunity to attend this very unique wedding venue was a great honour for me. I’ve been lucky enough to capture a number of unbelievably stunning weddings at Owen House Wedding Barn over the past couple of years and already have a number of weddings booked in throughout 2020 and 2021 which by its self is a huge privilege.

During the open house event, Owen House Wedding Barn was decorated as it would be on a wedding day with incredible, industry leading wedding vendors showcasing their expertise and crafts. From room decoration, photo booths, make up and hair stylists to wedding dresses, catering, DJ’s, videographers and more! The venue was packed with talent and every single vendor was ready to discuss all the amazing plans each newly engaged and soon to be married couples had to share.

Open House - Wedding Fayre

The open house event was split over four dates to give couples and their families the opportunity to see this spectacular wedding venue in all its glory, day and night. Owen House Wedding Barn is a very clever wedding venue here in Cheshire. It changes between day and night, the feeling totally changes from this very quiet and subtle wedding venue, showing off it’s more pleasant, rural and rustic side. Then during the evening morphing into more of a little party animal ready to be let loose on the whole wedding party! It truly is like no other wedding venue.

The daytime open house dates allowed guests to see the wedding barn how it would be during their daytime wedding day celebrations. Prosecco and beers on hand at the entrance already getting the newly engaged couples in the spirit of a wedding! Being able to see the open areas at the front of the barn, a spacious area and and how it can be enjoyed by all the family and friends, this also being where welcome drinks and canapés can be devoured!

As well as the outside of the barn, it was a perfect opportunity to see the BaaBER Shed, a bespoke designed area perfect for any groom and his boys to enjoy during the morning preparations. Chilled beers and a game of foosball anyone?? Also in full view were the exclusive on-site accommodation rooms, ready for all your guests to stay on the evening of the wedding as well as the lovingly built, luxurious bridal cabin.

In edition to the daytime dates there were two evening dates which were very popular with guests. This was a great opportunity to see how the spectacular lighting of the wedding barn has been perfectly designed to give a beautiful ambiance and incredibly stunning atmosphere, showing off all the little touches in the wedding venue that would otherwise be missed.

A Bespoke, Family Run Venue

Throughout all of the the open house dates, both days and evenings, I was located in the Shooting Gallery, creating images to showcase this wonderful space. All at the same time brides, grooms and their trusted guests could watch me on the TV in the Breakout Room.

The evening open house dates were a perfect time to showcase how clever, ingenious and forward thinking the Shooting Gallery and Breakout Room are for newly weds on their wedding day. During the wedding day celebrations at Owen House Wedding Barn, the happy couple and all their guests will be invited to leave their tables for a short period of time after their wedding breakfast and speeches have finished. This is while the evening entertainment set up ready for what is always a party to remember at Owen House Wedding Barn! At this point the bride and groom will be invited to have a little down time together in the Breakout Room located at the back of the main barn, once inside… well… I’ll leave it there and let you find out what happens on the wedding day… ;-)

Bespoke and Exclusive

As you enter Owen House Wedding Barn, the main building itself, the connecting ceremony room and surrounding areas such as the Beauty Shed and Breakout Room were all open and ready to be enjoyed during the day and night. Beautifully designed and filled with some of the top wedding vendors from around the North West, happy to give a helping hand to any bride or groom looking for some information on this stunning wedding venue here in Cheshire.

Leaving the spectacular main building though a small and inquisitive doorway, you will enter the ceremony room. Again, beautifully designed with the bride and groom in mind. Stunning woodwork, reclaimed timber and polished concrete giving the perfect look to any wedding day. Continuing though the ceremony room and down the alternatively designed and decorated corridor at Owen House Wedding Barn you would find yourself in the specially made bridal area, The Beauty Shed. This being where the bride would spend her morning, enjoying some quality times with her girls before the short walk back to the ceremony room where their very lucky other half would be waiting for them.

Truly Unique Wedding Experience

Owen House Wedding Barn here in Cheshire is somewhere couples can get lost in their wedding day, just them and their guests. The world doesn’t matter anymore! There isn’t many venues like this and from a full time professional wedding photographers point of view, as well as being very challenging to photograph, it is somewhere I am very excited I get to capture weddings. It breaks away from the norm, pushes boundaries and continues to lead in designing a completely unique spaces for the two people who mean the most! The two soulmates who have chose this wedding venue to become a married couple in!

I had a total blast during the open house event over the last two weeks. I feel very honoured the family allowed me take part as I absolutely love to capture weddings here and having the opportunity to come back and capture more epic weddings is fantastic! All the images on display in this blog are images taken by me during the open house event here at Owen House Wedding Barn, they show perfectly how the unique Shooting Gallery space works, what’s possible to create with a little thinking and an awesome couple during their wedding day!
