A Stunning and unique wedding for Emily and Ben at the Merseyside Maritime Museum at Liverpools Albert Dock

Merseyside Maritime Museum

“The Maritime Museum is in the Royal Albert Dock, Liverpool. It contains a variety of objects associated with the social and commercial history of the port of Liverpool. Highlights include ship models, maritime paintings, colourful posters from the golden age of liners and even some full sized vessels.

With our civil ceremony licence for the Maritime Dining Room, located on the fourth floor of Merseyside Maritime Museum, you can choose to hold your wedding reception or your whole ceremony with us inside our dedicated events space. Twilight wedding breakfasts and receptions can also be held in any of our museums and galleries after our doors have closed for the day.”

Wedding Celebrations at Merseyside Maritime Museum, Liverpool Albert Dock

It was a pleasure photographing Emily and Ben’s perfect wedding yesterday at the Merseyside Maritime Museum on Liverpools iconic Albert Dock. The happy couple decided to hold their wedding day ceremony at their local church, St Gabriels, with many of their closest friends and family. It’s always great and a huge honour to be involved in capturing such a spectacular wedding in Liverpool, I am already very excited to start editing their images and relive how much fun yesterday was!

One of my favourite moments of the day was when I was photographing Emily getting ready at home. The details, the atmosphere, the smiles; bridal prep is abundant in moments which I love to be able to capture. A short drive down to St Gabriels followed to see Ben waiting at the alter with his boys while they anticipated the arrival of Emily and her bridesmaids.

Once all the bridal preparations had finished Emily arrived at her ceremony and took a deep breath as she made her way towards the alter with her dad to meet her soon to be new husband Ben. Friends and family looked on as Emily and Ben exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony at St Gabriels. I will always relish the opportunity to cover ceremonies like this in Liverpool and further afield all around this beautiful country of England.

Emily and Ben shared a few moments with their guests outside St Gabriels before heading to Merseyside Maritime Museum situated in the heart of Liverpools Albert Dock for their wedding reception where drinks awaited. All the guests were cheerful and you could feel the joyful atmosphere as the sun showed its face. I enjoy drifting amongst the guests to take the best shots and witness the stories unfold as the hours go by.

The guests enjoyed a delicious wedding breakfast as the speakers prepared to deliver their speeches. The speeches are a great part of the wedding and a joy to photograph as a wedding photographer. At the end of the day, Emily and Ben rocked the dance floor accompanied by their guests, courtesy of the amazing live band.

Emily and Ben’s wedding was such a lovely wedding and I'm sure they will be really happy together forever. Congratulations guys!

Enjoy your sneak peek.
