Stunning boho wedding for Lucia and Jonny at the beautifully rustic High Barn in Penrith, Cumbria

High Barn Wedding Venue, Penrith Cumbria

I loved shooting Lucia and Jonny’s wedding yesterday. The couple celebrated at The Holy Trinity Church in Wetheral followed by an amazing wedding reception at High Barn in Penrith, Cumbria. I was ecstatic to photograph my first wedding at High Barn. It is a superb location in Cumbria and great for any type of rustic wedding celebration, Lucia and Jonny had totally chosen the perfect wedding venue for themselves and their guests. Thank you to all the staff for making me and all of the newly weds friends and family feel so welcome. I look forward to more wedding photography there in the future. 

One of my favourite moments of the day was when I was capturing Lucia and Jonny arriving at High Barn. We quickly went for a little walk around the stunning grounds of High Barn while we had a little break in the weather. Lucia, Jonny and I was able to capture a few special moments for the newly weds in a really relaxed portrait session.

Lucia was delighted that finally, she could walk down the aisle to marry her soul mate. The ceremony celebrated at The Holy Trinity Church, Wetheral was marvellous, the photographs I took of it definitely have a "love is in the air" vibe to them. It is truly an amazing job working as a wedding photographer in Cumbria. Lucia and Jonny interacted freely with their guests at High Barn while enjoying some welcome drinks and nibbles. The surroundings were wonderful and fun for all. I was still on the lookout to catch awesome moments on camera whilst guests enjoyed the celebrations.

All the guests were keen not to miss the speeches. Every speech is unique and I never get bored of shooting them. Lucia and her maid of honour Sara took to the microphone to say some heart felt words… before handing over to the boys for them to repay the favour. A few group shots followed the speeches helped by the cover of the outdoor bar of High Barn before the day ended with Lucia, Jonny and their guests rocking the dance floor to their live band.

Lucia and Jonny's wedding was one of the loveliest weddings I have shot and I wish them heartfelt congratulations.
