It was a pleasure photographing Emily and Jordan’s wedding yesterday with all their family and friends in attendance. The venue they chose for their wedding was Thornton Manor Wedding Venue on the Wirral in Merseyside. Thornton Manor is a place I always get excited to visit, no matter the number of times you have been there to capture a beautiful wedding. The happy couple could not have picked a better venue for their wedding day and with the wonderful British weather playing a few rainy games with us during the day, luckily the rain stayed off for some of the day and even allowed for some dreamy and relaxed couples portraits outdoors on the steps of this stunning wedding venue.

Emily began her wedding day celebrations getting her hair and make up done with her girls at Thornton Manor in the beautiful and Housekeepers Cottage, those first few hours were the perfect way to start her story. When I arrived the air was filled with nerves but as soon as the ceremony began to draw closer the excitement starting to build. Jordan and his boys also had time to prepare themselves for the day at Thornton Manor before they began to welcome guests to their wedding venue.

Family and friends present at Thornton Manor witnessed Emily and Jordan exchange vows in an emotional and personal ceremony. Emily and Jordan had planned to have a beautiful indoor ceremony for their wedding within the spectacular and stunning ceremony room at Thornton Manor. Our bride and groom couldn’t have asked for anything more during their special day. As a wedding photographer in Merseyside I always have a fantastic time photographing weddings around this beautiful part of the country.

After the ceremony all of the newly weds wedding party enjoyed a relaxing time with drinks and canapés. There was a joyful vibe during the reception and all the moments I photographed were worth a thousand words, it was truly a special day.

It is a delight to photograph early autumn weddings in and around the North West. We were so happy that the rain stayed away during most of the wedding and it was was really nice to see everyone embrace the day and enjoy the celebrations. It also made taking the happy couples photographs a joy on the day. 

All the guests were keen not to miss the beautiful food provided by the staff at Thornton Manor. The amazing atmosphere that the wedding venue provided was a perfect setting for the wedding breakfast, served in the beautiful and elegant music room which was dressed perfectly. The whole process was more of an experience for everyone involved than just a traditional wedding breakfast.

The night ended with guests gathering round the dance floor to watch Emily and Jordan enjoying their first dance together and dancing the night away until the early hours.All in all I had a blast at Emily and Jordan’s wedding. Thank you to the AMAZING staff at Thornton Manor for making the happy couples, their friends, family and me feel so welcome. I can’t wait to return soon.
