Our Bride and Groom Lauren and Paul

It was a pleasure photographing Lauren and Paul’s wedding Yesterday with all their family and friends in attendance. The venue they chose for their wedding was the stunning Eshott Hall in Morpeth, Northumberland. Eshott Hall is a place you always get excited to visit as a wedding photographer, no matter the number of times you have been there to capture a beautiful wedding. The happy couple could not have picked a better venue for their wedding day and with the wonderful British weather playing nice with us during some of the wedding day, we were able to create some dreamy and relaxed couples portraits outdoors in and around the stunning grounds of Eshott Hall.

Lauren began her wedding day celebrations getting her hair and make up done with her girls, those first few hours were the perfect way to start her story. When I arrived the air was filled with nerves but as soon as the ceremony began to draw closer the excitement starting to build.

A short drive over to St Laurence Church followed the morning where family and friends witnessed Lauren and Paul exchange vows in an emotional and personal ceremony. Lauren and Paul had planned to have a beautiful church ceremony for their wedding within the spectacular and stunning St Laurence Church. The bride and groom couldn’t have asked for anything more during their special day. As a wedding photographer in Northumberland I always have a fantastic time photographing weddings around this beautiful part of the country.

After the ceremony the newly weds and their wedding party traveled back to Eshott Hall end enjoyed some relaxed moments on the terrace with drinks and canapés flowing. Absolutely nothing exciting happened during the drive back to Eshott… nothing.. ;-) There was a joyful vibe during the reception and all the moments I photographed were worth a thousand words, it was truly a special day.

It is always a delight to photograph Summer weddings here in Northumberland. We were so happy that the rain stayed away during some of the wedding portraits and it was really nice to see everyone embrace the day and enjoy the celebrations. It also made taking the happy couples photographs a joy on the day. 

All the guests were keen not to miss the beautiful food provided by the staff at Eshott Hall. The amazing atmosphere that the wedding venue provided was a perfect setting for the wedding breakfast, served in the beautifully and elegant ballroom which was dressed perfectly by the team at Eshott Hall. The whole process was more of an experience for everyone involved than just a traditional wedding breakfast.

The night ended with guests crowding round the dance floor to watch Lauren and Paul enjoying their first dance together. the dance floor packed till the end of the night made the perfect end to the perfect wedding. Lauren and Paul's wedding was absolutely stunning and I’m very honoured to be asked to capture it.
