Kay and Theo's Chinese Infused Colshaw Hall Wedding
Beautiful Chinese infused celebrations for Kay and Theo during their Colshaw Hall Wedding
Colshaw Hall in Knutsford, Cheshire
I absolutely loved capturing Kay and Theo's wedding day yesterday. The couple celebrated at Colshaw Hall in Knutsford, Cheshire. I was ecstatic to photograph another wedding at Colshaw Hall, it is a superb venue for any style of wedding and with the unbelievably beautiful grounds attached it makes the perfect location. I’m already looking forward to more wedding photography there.
Kay was delighted that finally, she could walk down the aisle to marry her soul mate. The wedding ceremony celebrated at Colshaw Hall was marvellous, the photographs I took of it definitely have a "love is in the air" vibe to them. The traditional tea ceremony that followed was an honour to be part of and a moment I’ll cherish forever. It is truly an amazing job working as a wedding photographer in Cheshire.
Kay and Theo interacted freely with their guests once we all arrived at the reception. The surroundings were wonderful and fun for all. I was still on the lookout to catch awesome candid moments on camera and with a table full of welcome drinks greeting their guests as they arrived into the hall, this gave me a little more time to snap those moments for the newly weds.
Chinese Infused Wedding Photography
One of my favourite moments of the day was when I was capturing Kay and Theo in the oriental garden of Colshaw Hall during their wedding day portraits. I tend to keep my couples portraits as natural and relaxed as possible but with the breathtaking landscapes and stunning colours I had to keep them for a few more minutes than normal ;-) I think we laughed more than we took photos to be honest! So much fun!
There are some real advantages to getting married in early summer. It was a bright and sunny day, which was a blessing, having a later sunset also helped as we were able to go back out later on in the day with Kay and Theo for some additional portraits of the happy couple.
All the guests were keen not to miss the beautiful food provided by Barretts on behalf of the the bride and groom. The amazing atmosphere that the Peel Suite at Colshaw Hall provided was a perfect setting for the wedding breakfast, the whole process was more of an experience for everyone involved than just a traditional wedding breakfast.
Then, what guests thought was the end of the day involved Kay and Theo enjoying their first dance together in the company of all their closest friends and family. Buuuut…. a quick change from our beautiful bride in to a traditional Chinese dress finished the day perfectly!
Kay and Theo's wedding was one of the loveliest weddings I have shot and I wish them a heartfelt congratulations.
Enjoy!
