Wedding Celebrations at Clontarf Castle, Dublin Ireland

It was a pleasure photographing Michelle and Andy’s perfect destination wedding yesterday in Ireland. The happy couple decided to hold their wedding day celebrations at the stunning Clontarf Castle in Dublin, Ireland with many of the closest friends and family. It’s always great and a huge honour to be involved in capturing such a spectacular wedding in Ireland, I am already very excited to start editing their images and relive how much fun yesterday was!

One of my favourite moments of the day was when I was photographing Michelle getting ready at home. The details, the atmosphere, the smiles; bridal prep is abundant in moments which I love to be able to capture. A short drive down to Killester Church followed to see Andy waiting at the alter with his boys while they anticipated the arrival of Michelle and her bridesmaids. 

Once all the bridal preparations had finished Michelle arrived at her ceremony and took a deep breath as she made her way towards the alter with her dad to meet her soon to be new husband Andy. Friends and family looked on as Michelle and Andy exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony at Killester Church. I will always relish the opportunity to cover ceremonies like this in Dublin and further afield all around this beautiful country of Ireland.

Michelle and Andy shared a few moments with their guests outside Killester Church before heading to Clontarf Castle for their wedding reception where drinks and canapés awaited. All the guests were cheerful and you could feel the joyful atmosphere as the sun showed its face. I enjoy drifting among the guests to take the best shots and witness the stories unfold as the hours go by. 

The guests enjoyed a delicious wedding breakfast as the speakers prepared to deliver their speeches. The speeches are a great part of the wedding and a joy to photograph as a wedding photographer. At the end of the day, Michelle and Andy rocked the dance floor accompanied by their guests, courtesy of the amazing live band. 

Michelle and Andy wedding was one of the loveliest destination weddings I have photographed and I'm sure they will be really happy together.
