A perfect wedding day for Gemma and Nick at Thornton Manor in Cheshire

Being the photographer at Gemma and Nick's wedding yesterday was one of the highlights of my season so far. Thornton Manor in Cheshire is a memorable place that is perfect for any type of wedding. This wasn't the first time I had photographed a wedding at Thornton Manor an I was very excited to return, it's a fantastic place that I love working at, manly as it one of Cheshire’s best wedding venues and the staff are always very welcoming to myself and all of the wedding party.

The day started with Gemma getting ready at East Cottage with her girls before the short ride over to the manor to finish bridal prep in the grand suite with its stunning views and beautiful art decor style interior. It was also a perfect morning to photograph Nick getting ready with his boys on the other side of the manor. 

It was an honour for friends and family to witness Gemma and Nick's big day at Thornton Manor. Working as a wedding photographer in Cheshire offers fantastic opportunities to cover ceremonies like this. The ceremony was stunning, it was decorated beautifully and was the perfect spot for the newlyweds to welcome their guests. The reception was full of fantastic energy and joyful laughter. It was time to photograph the story as the reception went on and looking for moments is what I do best. 

Summers Days and Summers Nights

The season can really have an impact on a wedding and I find Summer weddings are some of my favourite. The sky was full of cloud, but clouds create the softest light, and soft light is the best kind of light for flattering photographs. Also Summer gives us some of the wonderful sunsets, something Gemma, Nick and I made the most of before the night time arrived and the wedding party started!

After the hearty breakfast, everyone waited eagerly for the speakers to deliver their messages. The speeches are a great part of the wedding and a joy to photograph as a wedding photographer. The evening festivities started and it was a blast on the dance floor for the newlyweds and their guests as the day ended. 

Gemma and Nick really know how to create a fantastic wedding and I thoroughly enjoyed telling their story. Congratulations from me and I wish you all the luck in the world.
